During my time at Playground Games, I was part of the roads team and also the scene composition team.
My responsibilities included:
- Creating textures in Substance Designer
- Modelling and creating decals in Substance Painter
- Application of textures using multi-material blending in-engine
- Scene composition and environment set dressing
- Texture and asset optimisation
- Bug fixing and polish
My role covers a variety of skills and tasks.
Including -
- Populating and set-dressing environments in-engine
- Creating tileable textures for environments and large scale props/buildings
- Modelling, baking and texturing props to populate environments with
- Modelling buildings, both unique and modular assets
- Modelling, baking and texturing rubble
- Baking and texturing props and clothing for characters
- Modelling, baking and texturing vehicles
- Creating decals for use in-engine
- Modelling and texturing assets for mobile games
